I have a 20+ year old metal shop building with blown-in cellulose insulation. It's turned really brown(old newspaper) and I'd like it white. Anyone ever spray paint this stuff before?

monarch or PPG has a heat barrier you add to paint and it would be good to do this, cuts down on heat.
Call your local Shewin Williams store and have a saleman call you or come by. Some latex could pull off insulation.

I'd rather cover it up with some peg board, drywall, plywood, or anything because that ole cellulose starts shrinking and the glue loses its umph ... if you get it real wet again it could flop onto the floor if it ain't stuck good. There again, I don't have a picture of whatcha got. Got one?
I've remodeled some old garage, blacksmith, printing, and machine shops and every one is different. Never know, you might have insulation stuck hard like dried snot on the metal you could hit it with a spray gun and it would look great. I might see if anyone had leftover white industrial enamel, if that's the case.
