Gigging from a Shallow water boat

Gents I have a Shoal Water 21 foot cat and I wanted to see if any one uses their shallow water boat to Gig. I can float in some very shallow water, the only think is that I plan to use my trolling motor to move around along with a push pole. Any Advice?

Ive sat on the front of my Haynie and used a hand held gig light and used my trolling motor batteries, had a buddy and me walk the boat with our feet....and get several limits that way! kind of ghetto, but it worked!!
