My man showed up at 7AM, ready to fish. Unfortunately, Tropical Storm Raphael is still giving us crappy weather.

Instead of fishing, we went crabbing (for land crabs). We had a blast chasing and catching them.
We had a birthday party in the afternoon - Henrique just turned 6.Walker

Yep - that tackle box and all of its contents came from Henrique's uncles at FWE.
Land crabs: pretty nasty. Some locals eat them, but only after feeding them a diet of milk for a couple of weeks. Henrique wanted to catch some, but did not know how to catch them without getting pinched. I showed him on a couple and he was on the way. We let them go later - just catching to have some fun. Playing with a 6 year old can be a lot of fun.Walker

And it grabbed me. HARD.
I slung my hand, breaking the pincer off. The crab body was gone, but the pincer did not let go. And I couldn't pull it off. I mean, that sucker was on me like vise grips. We got a key and pried the pincers apart to get it off. I was bleeding big-time.
I now know how to pick one up. You stare it in the eyes, make it blink by calling it's mother a whore, and you simultaneously grab both pincers!
