Hit the pond this weekend

Well since i couldnt get in some salty water this weekend went to the pond for a bit. Was throwin a bleeding shad. The bass were really active caught 9 total biggest being bout 3.5-4#s but i had to share this lil guy he was only about an inch longer than my trap! !

Its my neighborhood pond but its private just for residents. Me and my buddies catch alota fish outta there. One friend caught a 30# catfish i have pulled out 7 # bass and the crappie fishin is great in the winter!

I have property on this private lake, but it is hugely overstocked with bass. It is easy to catch 50 plus bass in a few hours, but they are all small and some of them are downright skinny. I've caught a few that were nothing but a big head and a skinny body... so bad that I threw them up on the bank to put them out of their misery.

Yeah sound WAY over populated if they are that bad! !
