  • Sticky Plastics

I have some Brown Devil Eyes that are all sticky. I've had this happen before with unlike plastics in the same bag or box, but these were all together. I've even had some Corkys do this "sticky thang" before, right out of the package. Is the plastic just unstable and melting or what?
    So...... what's causing it?.

I would like to know the answer as well. My corkys are doing the same thing

I've had plastic coatings (on a plastic base) go sticky (not related to lures). It's something to do with degassing degradation.

Try cleaning a lure with 70% or 90% isopropol alcohol to see if there is a surface coating that strips off. The corkys I have don't exhibit this (I've pink and pearl devils), but mine may be from another batch.

                        Sticky Plastics

I've said this before. It's happened to almost all my corkys (original ones) and some soft plastics I got directly from Paul.

Had it happen also, maybe the cure setting was wrong in the chem batch, but got away from the plant before anyone notices it!

Try spraying some WD-40 on the corky's it will keep it from being sticky & the WD-40 is also a fish attractant! Good Luck I hope that helped!
