  • Stan the Man . . . has left us.

Today we lost a legend. Today we lost The Man. Stan Musial was in my opinion the greatest hitter of all time. He wasn't selfish, wasn't too good to bunt, or swing at a bad pitch to protect a runner. He was simple poetry at the plate. He was a gentelman of the highest order. This world is poorer having lost him, but richer that he lived among us.

Rest in Peace Stan. Long ago you thrilled a young boy thousands of miles away across the radio waves. Because of you, he passed his love for baseball on to me.

From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

Great Man and Ball Player. I was lucky enough to meet and shake his hand at a golf tournament Arnold Palmer held outside St. Louis in the early 90's. They both stayed in the same hotel where I stayed. RIP.
