  • Jon Boat Restoration project Project

I ended up grabbing an old 12 ft. jon boat to start working on. I will keep this updated showing what I have done and what I am doing.

    Starting Out

    Since these Pictures I have:
    - Removed that "trolling motor mount"
    - Sanded down all the loose paint
    - Removed all nuts and bolts
    - Added 3 coats of primer and 2 coats of camo tan paint.
    - I have also sprayed the rear handles with a flex rubber coating for a better grip.

I will post those pictures later today or tomorrow.

    Whats to Come:
    - Replace Transom
    - Paint the inner hull with a flexible rubber coating
    - Stencil/Paint camo on top of tan
    - Add a 4 ft. deck with a spot for a cooler
    - add 2 camo swivel seats
    - Add a couple reel mounts
    - Paint the bottom with a sound deadening scratch proof coating
    - Last but not least find the right outboard
