  • Fishing halls lake

I made my way into halls lake a few weekends back and didn't catch anything but a cold! Using live shrimp under a popping cork. Any proven baits for that area of the bay?

Learn how the current moves through that lake ...and others like it... if you can find the structure with the current and the bait...that's the ticket... Capt Steve Soule taught me that, so give props to him definitely worth a trip with him.

Dont know if I would say there are no fish in Hall's unless these were the last ones.

But I would stay out of the lake this time of the year. And by the end of the month there will be very few keeper trout caught. Good for reds and flouder but you will start to have to work for them. I like late October to mid April in the bayous around this area.
