I'm out at the dike right now and I had trout starting to show and I ended up landing a 20'er and 5 minutes later a tanker clipping along at 20 knots comes by and wrecks the water. This is one thing that never fails at the dike. Good fish start to show and the tankers screw it up.

I've got 5 in the cooler. The bite pretty much shut off around 10. Now I am just watching the bull reds swim through. I didn't bring anything to fight that quality of a fish, but it sure is awesome to see them chasing 6 inch mullet around.Son of the Republic

Ended the night with 7 and a red kicker. The red ended up making me get soaked by the very thing I was complaining about when I started this thread. I fish light line and she was a very solid keeper almost over the slot so I was staying focused on where she was running and making sure she wasn't going to spool me and when I got her close enough to go to the lower rocks to net her, here came the biggest waves of the evening. Luckily I was thinking strait and got up on the flat rocks because those waves would have knocked me in. Amazingly enough, I kept the rod tip tight while running to get in front of my lights so they didn't take the full shower that the waves dished out and I got her netted shortly there after. I had to call it a night after that. The north winds had already picked up and I was freezing.
I also managed to catch some more mullet on artificial, but this time I came prepared and hooked up on them with the fly rod. A lot more exciting.

Nice report and pics!!!"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.
