Now I've seen everything. Yesterday I was out taking the dog for a drive and I saw a game warden in a truck checking people crabbing & fishing along Flamingo Way.
That's a good thing. We need more around West Bay...the whole Galveston Bay complex really.

Be amazed just how many people crabbing and fishing from shore or along the road right-of-ways don't have fishing licenses or even know the limit. But then again, they're everywhere out there.
I like to see them out doing their job and I do not mind getting checked once in a while, but I agree with Kenny that is not a "High Volume area"
Go down and hit San Luis Pass under the bridge, a lot more bang for the buck.
If u have a license, boat is legal, and legal fish, there's nothing to worry about. If not, u better worry. I've fished with a warden before with no problem. Lord Bless.

My uncle has the last place on Flamingo and there are always people on the bulkhead fishing. I think one of the neighbors had the city put up no parking signs to keep them off. Doesn't bother me, and I never seem to catch much off that side except crabs anyhow.

Is your uncle Walter (That's the last place), Zapalac, or the guy with the big black boat with the weird name? That bulkhead along the main canal has been a public fishing area since 1962. Recently an old biddy at the end had the city make the bulkhead into a "private fishing park" for owners only. Others have to pay by the day or season.
Yeah, the fishing's no good there........
You have to pay to fish there now?!!! Jesus...I don't know where we'd be if it weren't for these neighborhood vigilantes like the ol' hag that opened her trap about a public fishing spot.
Now where am I gonna catch my crabs at(besides Oceans of course)?
