  • 3 blade or 4 blade

SO i am currently running a 3 blade on my 60 yamaha 2 stoke. just thinking maybe a 4 blade....

WHat are yall running and what do yall think?

Who or where would I pick one up?

I prefer the 4 blade for shallow water running. It provides more transom lift than a 3 blade.

If you decide to go with a 4 blade, you will need to reduce the pitch, probably by 2" less.

eBay is a good source for used and new props. I've purchased most of my new ones from iboats.com They have a nice website with easy to look up parts.

Typically a 3 blade is best for getting up on plane faster and a 4 blade for running a little faster . But with your boat i don't know if you a concerned with a faster on plane advantage .

          Yep.
I ran a 60 Yamaha for years with a 4 blade on my Flatscat. When I repowered with a 90, I got Louie Baumann to make me a cupped 3 blade. It jumps up fine and has improved top end speed.
