Surfside recon Zero Dark:30 friday 8/9

Ran down to check conditions at Surfside a little while ago.

Wind from SSE about 8.

Surf was still pretty rough. Too rough to wade IMO. YMMV.
Couldn't tell color due to darkness.

All bait stands on Hwy 332 open and flying white.

Buc-ee's @ 332/523 slammed with traffic. Lots of boats.

Thanks for the report. Dead calm right now, can't see the beach front from the casa, but it has to be getting better. Heck, it could not get worse!

I just got back from Matagorda beach. Surf there was greening up nicely. Still a little rough but wadeable.
