Took a couple of my buddies out today to try to get on the specks. Planned on meeting at the ramp by 6 am but I was running a tad bit late. lol Well we finally got to the first spot and landed over 40 trout most of which were under size but did manage 18 keepers 16 - 20". The guys had a blast and we fished just for two hours, we also landed 6 rat reds and one keeper red measuring 27". All fish were caught with shrimp under a popping cork. Glad I was able to get them on the fish.. tight lines

Great day!!!!! OK How bout a small hint......deep reef, shallow, rigs....p l e a s e?

Fished deep reefs, we used a popping cork with a 2 1/2' fluorocarbon line and a 2/O circle hook. The smaller trout were caught in 4 - 5' deep of water and the keeper trout were in 6 - 8'.

Me and my son waded the pass this morning with no luck. Caught 1 undersized fluonder and that was it. Way to fo on your catch.
