Was talking with some friends today about this.

I thought it was up to $500 per illegal fish of any kind . Google it to find out .

Don't know if it's true, but I've heard that the state can fine you, then the federal government can fine you also. It's a state fish and also federal regulation applies. Might want to check on this. Again, it's only what I've heard. Lord Bless.

It's not the fine it's the restitution that can get expensive!

The Feds can only fine you if the fish was caught in federal waters.

                          Wow!

As a rough estimate it would be: $140 infraction fine + approx $300 restitution = FOR EACH FISH + court cost.

The list is endless. Fine, restocking fee, restitution, possible loss of gear and liscense. They pretty much can do what they want I guess.

yeppir, one 14" trout cost a buddy of mine several hundred dollars many years ago, he kept it because it was gill hooked and dead when released so he grabbed it and strung it-that argument did not work-the dead ones that float off become part of the natural (sic) food chain-crab's dinner. Can be very expensive to be a cheat.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.
