  • Rainbow trout fishing Sunday

I know it's late but I will be at Crenshaw park tomorrow with my little one getting rainbow trout....if anyone wants to swing by and see how it's done I will be there. Look for the black buccaneers hat.

I used to use corn soaked in that green scent stuff when I would ride my bike to Crenshaw

Went today and the little one hooked into a 5 lb bass on a super duper. I went to lip it for her and it came unbuttoned. It was off the concrete bulkhead about a foot and a half to the water. Pretty disappointing, but was awesome watching that fish flip through the air and smile on her face. After that the two rainbows we caught were nothing! Lol

A green wooley bugger works great. When you gut those farm pond rainbows they're full of little green pellets, so they like little green wooley buggers worked really slow, just creep them across the bottom. They're hard to throw with a spinning reel, I use a 4wt fly rod, a great way to get the hang of casting a fly rod and usually rewarding to build your confidence.
