  • Dry Tortugas National Park

I should have asked Walker to borrow his drone.

We scratched this destination off of our family's list while on Spring Break. If you ever get a chance to visit Fort Jefferson and Dry Tortugas National Park, do it. It is really remarkable, both historically and scenically.

Always wanted to go there myself!
From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

I visited Dr. Mudd's cell for you.

The whole place really is incredible. You could spend all day examining the fort. It's the largest masonry structure in America. It's cannons had a range of 4.5 miles and it sits squarely in the sea lanes that run up mainland Florida. The 2.5 hour boat ride from Key West is not for the timid. The snorkeling is incredible too. I want to come back and camp out. It must be something at night.
