Really great meeting Bruce (Curmudgen) today! We caught nothing at the back of SLP but had a good time. Based on what I learned with respect to talking to some people today, I will blow off working tomorrow morning and wade out (at first light) tomorrow into Shutout Bay (that's the second turn in spot SW of Acadia Reef). With the reduced limits, I think that a "Texas Slam" limit is possible at this spot (so is Kenny's spot in May).

I'm pretty old. In my day it was 20 for specs; 20 for flatties and 20 for reds. Today 10 for specs; 3 for reds and 5 for flatties

No, no...my only point was that when I first started fishing seriously in the early 70's, the limits (which I may not have been totally accurate on) were so high that it would have been very very hard to actually have a triple "Texas slam" limit. With today's limits, if a person was to hit a West Bay, Christmas Bay or Drum Bay south shoreline cove at the right time in April or May, it would be possible to come out with a stringer of 10 specs, 5 flatties and 3 reds. Moot point for me today, as I decided I had better work and not fish.
