nice flounder today

me and my dad went to moses lake and i caught a 21 inch flounder on a berkley gulp shrimp. when i got him near the boat we found out we had forgot the net so i tried to pull him over the boat but i didnt want to break the line. my dad told me to let him swim for awile and then after quick thinking on his part he netted him with a BUCKET! as soon as he did the line broke! i was so lucky. after examining him a big croaker fell out of his mouth. i will post pics when the camera is done charging.

Next time get your wadeing stringer in your hand ,grab the top of the spike ,and when the flounder is hoovering on top just stab it threw him .It will stun him and when it does reach under and pull your stringer threw ,works for me every time,just rem. to stab hard or it will slide off to the side,hope this info helps next time.

thats interesting, can you use a knife to make sure it goes through.

Well if you use a knife you cant reach under him and grab the knife.Stab him with the stinger spike that will stun him and no movement then reach under and grab the spike ,and pull it threw ,and you gottem.

works better than a net they see the net and it's on this wat soon as he surfaces WHACK he is gigged by the stringer. Hookset makes a really nice stringer for the job long and sharp.
