  • 6/5 report

Hit the water around 0545 this AM (after an early rise and drive from Tomball) in the waters south of Tiki Island. Caught 4 speckled trout in the first 30 mins, all short, at approx. 12 inches. After an hour dry spell, caught a few reds, again short, around 15 inches. Moved the scanoe further south towards Offatts Bayou and landed a 21 inch Red and a 20 inch Flounder to finish out the day. I'm new to this, but it seemed like the water was high from 6 AM to 1 PM (when I got out). Also got to try out some new seats I mounted in the scanoe that worked very well. Great day on the water.

They were caught on live shrimp (greenhorn style).
