  • Bay side camping?

I told my gF I'd take her camping on the beach this weekend towards surfside to try and avoid some of the weed but the wind has pretty much shut me down, I need to be down there this weekend regardless so I'm wondering if any of you guys know of open spots to camp Bayside ? I'm not exactly a people person most the time so I'm talking about a place to set up a tent.
    Don't worry, I won't forget the OFF! .

GISP has sites on the bayside, but they are full this weekend, and most weekends, during the summer.

Wish I could help. We always get rooms or rent a house in sea isle. Lynn ain't gonna stay in a tent.

Thanks, I don't know if getting creative and finding an open patch down off a road somewhere is an option or not, I'm starting to sound like a hobo here!
I'm hoping to get a house around where we usually launch this summer kenny.

Go set up your tent in Robalo's yard. He is near the bay.
He really likes it when people do that.

JT's place is closer to surfside and San Luis. Plus my neighbors' dogs seem to like to crap in my yard and all my empty beer cans would make laying/sleeping in the yard sorta uncomfy-much less the 3 cases of live shotshells and bullets that Ike spread all over my yard! Everytime ya dig, ya wonder if a bullet will splode!
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

CRIMINY , those aren't rain clouds , that's a plague of Egypt wrath of GOD cloud of Mosquitos forming to suck you dry . Camp under the toll booth turn around at SLP like a real hobo Pierce elevated would . Maybe the Follet Island side of the bridge at the pass itself . There will be bull high tides this weekend . Don't float away . You have a pioneer woman type of woman or maybe that'll be the last you see of her after this weekend .

Take one of the dirt trails back to the bay between SLP and Drum Bay and go for it. Find a sandy patch out of the high tide zone. Amenities will suck and I'm not sure on how safe it is but it can be done for free.

The fine gentlemen down at the Harris County sheriff office still have one of my guns after using it to "ward off " a 2 legged snake that cracked me in the head with a pool cue a few times... in my own house.
That was 2 years ago. I'll post the story in robalos corner one day. It will assuredly become a political rant.

A good place we do it is under the SLP bridge on the freeport side. Make a nice campfire and throw some lines out. Always have carried my sidearm, but never had any problems.

                              Thanks xpress.
I'll see if I can make one of these work, otherwise might have to chicken out and do a daytrip.
Just letting my imagination run here but I was wondering if anybody ever went and camped on north deer island?
I'm sure doc plugger probably thinks I've got an impacted tooth affecting my brain by now!
