Quickie Surfside recon 20:00hrs 7/5/14

Just did a quick run down to Surfside to check conditions.

Not good.
Wind finally has turned the right way. Soft SE wind about 5-7.
Surf was still a tad rough but better than earlier in the day.
Water color still nasty with a lot of weed.
Checked at Access #1 and in town by the surf cam.
Weed isn't as bad in town but down by Access #1 its still pretty bad.
Weed was extremely bad further down by the cell tower/Access#5 earlier this afternoon.
Still a bazillion beachgoers and police everywhere so watch out.

Putting in a request for a Bryan/MOB recon.

I had 6" of rain yesterday, and 3" today, I bet that will mess up the coastal Brazos in the near future.
