Took a friend out 8 AM this morning expecting that 5-10 MPH and 76 degrees. Ended up 15-18 steady NNE and cold. Freaking weatherman. Anyway, we had these in the boat by 10:30 and the bite stopped for us. I was in a new area, so I saw a cove with some drains I had never fished, so we popped some tops and slow putted around just scoping out the area. Went in at noon for some lunch and the wind started laying down so we decided to go back out.....no luck, but I think I found some new spring holes I'm gonna try next year.
