  • Fishing chater help for Galveston family reunion in April.

We are planning a family reunion on Galveston Island for this April. I would like to invite family members to come down a day early so that we can go on a fishing trip together. Fishing would be on Friday.

Right now now we have about 10 people, but that number could go up to 15 or more once we finalize plans. I would like this trip to return back to shore by 3:00 p.m. or so. I was thinking about near shore trips but am open to suggestions. I was hoping not to get a 60-80 party boat, but if we do, I will try to secure the stern.

Does anybody have any suggestions or comments?

    Thanks in advance.

Contact a few of the guides on this board. Capt. Greg Francis, Capt. Glenn Stevens, Capt George Knighten. Talk to them about what you would like to do. Best to do it early so they can arrange enough guides to accommodate your party. April can tend to be a busy month for a lot of guides so I would advise you to start calling them as soon as possible to set something up.

Thanks. I would like everyone to be together if possible, but splitting up is an option if doing that is too much trouble.

Only way your going to get that many people on one boat for a charter is to take a party boat.

I'm thinking a 40' to 45' boat that can handle a dozen or more people if we all want to be together.
Another option is a couple 32'-36' boats that can handle 6 passengers each.
