This next month I plan some fishing off the Galveston Jetties but will be putting in at Offatts Bayou. The maps show the route from Offatts Bayou to the Jetties closer going South of Pelican Island but this is through the Port Of Galveston. Is there a speed limit there and is this a really dumb idea? Thanks...

Either way works fine, and the guys above are correct. Once you get into the shipping lane, watch out for the big swells from the ships, take you time and be careful.Comment
