Hit up the bay side of SLP early. Was making cast by 0445. The water level was significantly lower than I've seen it there in my previous outings. I found the trout in about 3.5 feet of water and was throwing a trout pattern skitterwalk. The water was green at this point with a south wind somewhere around 12-14. Landed a new personal best at 22 inches. Very exciting. My retrieval pattern was a constant walk all the way back to me. The bite shut down around 0730. The wind started to shift to the SW and the water color got worse and worse. At this point I worked a pink maniac mullet, a Johnson spoon, and 4-5 soft plastics on a 1/16th without any success. Out of the water by 1100 and it was muddy looking by this point.
