Is there any transport xl8 owners out there? Im looking at buying a slightly used one with the low sides and was wondering how they did in rough waters. Whats a real world draft on them? Now i guess the big decision is to keep my old paid off boat or try to sale..

Thanks guys. Going to pull the trigger this December and i hope its the right fit. I looked at the majek extreme but i dont like the boats lay out. Reminds me of a bass boat. The gulf coast 23vs is nice but to dang slow from what i heard. I guess its the tunnel. My current boat is slow and i sure hate those long rides from my house to east bay. Time will tell

i loved my XLR, fast (60+), and dry. Would run in a foot of water, but needed around 20" in get it up. If you're crossing the ship channel, it may get a little rough since it's not a deep V like some other boats, but I think it's a great boat for east bay.

Thanks for the input. Yea i kinda of figured it would be a little rough but my current boat isnt to smooth out there anyways. Pretty much cut across it to get to east from west.maybe stop around eagle point.which motor did you have on it? I was looking at the 20ft with a yammy 225. Trans said maybe high 60s...so i guess cruise would be forty. Which is close to my top end right now.
