  • Playa Del Carmen Cuda

Took a trip to Playa last week and got to go wet a line. Ended up with a Yellow Tail Snapper and this 55 inch Cuda. It was a fun trip.Click image for larger version

Nice one. Did ya eat the Cuda?

I fish down at Akumal on Pangas. We ate about a 35 pounder, no ciguatera in the one we had-was great with Tequila sauce. 2 Years ago we caught a 5 foot Dorado and fed the whole restaurant-was darn good. It's neat how it just drops off 100s of feet after crossing the reef. Beeyoutifull area down there.

Fantastic. Just wondering if you caught some of those flying fish behind the boat. Ha, Ha. That's a very nice fish. Lord Bless.

I was truly blown away about how deep it got so quick, We fished out of Marina Maroma. We didn't eat the cuda, they crew told us that the big ones weren't any good to eat.
I did decide that I am getting it mounted, they promoted outfit out of Florida called Grey Taxidermy. Guess we will see how it turns out. It better be damn awesome for how much it cost!!

Thanks, I would highly recommend fishing down there. It cool how quick you can be in deep fishing waters.

beautiful down there. i use to go down where Robalo stays in Akumal back in the early 80's when they were developing Playa del carmen and very few places even had electricity.

nice fish and you ought to also get the photo blown up and frame it. Thats a good shot with nice background.

I usually blown some of my pics up to 8x10 and put them on the front of my bar with all my hunting and fishing pics.
