  • Refurbing a 88 Shallow Sport

Been working on refurbishing a 88 Shallow Sport that we purchased. De-Rigged Flipped it, sanded the entire bottom, filled gouges and rashing. Re-sprayed bottom with Classic Whaler Blue, now we are starting with the top side and raised console. The deck and console were added by Shallow sport a few years back, but we had some cracking and a bunch of screw holes that need addressing so we decided to go ahead and refurbish top, and bottom. It will be fitted with a 200hp Vmax with TRP, new upholstery, stereo, power pole, I pilot, Garmin 741XS, burn bar, windshield, and some other things. I will be posting some more photos of the progress.

    Cool Bryan!!
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Looks good. Isn't a 200 too much for the 18. I've been on some with 150's and it pretty much maxed out the speed of the hull. I would think you want to go light as possible on these hulls.

The original motor was a 150 TRP and TRP Yamaha's are 175HP but with TRP loose 25HP making 150. The motor was blown when I got it, So I had rebuilt a 200HP Fuel injected motor and is the same block, bore, and stroke as 150's just different computer programming. So now It should be more fuel efficient, and a little quicker out of the hole. No weight difference.
