Keeping fish in Galveston

I was wondering if anyone saw the email CCA put out about consuming trout caught out of East bay? Well that got me curious and I looked up fish consumption advisories for Texas. It appears there is an advisory for trout for all the Galveston bay complex including Christmas bay. It says not to consume more than 8oz of trout a month. They are saying this is directly related to the dioxin release from that dump site at I-10 and the San Jacinto river. I was wondering what everyone's opinions are on it, and if they are still eating the fish or if they have even heard about it. I caught a few last week and gave them to a buddy because he said he didn't care of he grew a third leg.

Yea i seen that a few weeks back and I've still heen eating trout on a regular basis. No problems yet but full stomachs. I would like to know why JUST trout are affected and not any other game fish we consume? There are tons of other fish in our bays that people bag everyday and to just pick out one type threw the red flag for me....if our water is jacked by houston poop than it should be an all out ban on any fish in my opinion.

Where did you see this? Only thing that I knew about is what it says on this link (below). I have not heard anything about the trout yet.

I send my fish to the Democratic Party. Their Socialistic leanings require me to give up my fish to the folks that are too lazy to fish or expect fish for free. I make sure I leave the rib and backbone in them-the ribs for calcium and the backbone because the Dems have no backbone as evidenced by Hillary bending over backwards to accept bribes from foreigners.
