  • New to West End

Hope everyone is off to a prosperous New Year! I am new to this site and also new to kayak fishing the west end. I started a couple of weeks ago, dropped at 2004 and fished up Chocolate and also the bay side "Lost Bay". Had some luck with a few sandies, 1 speck and a floor mat (All released). Wasn't a bad first trip out but definitely think it could have been better! Any other kayakers have much luck at that spot?

Can anyone of you give a noob some advice on some good kayak drops in the area? Not asking for your fishing hole, just need some new areas to explore.

Welcome! We've been in a transition period.

Have you picked up the Hook N Line fishing maps? http://www.hooknline.com/

Welcome aboard. Chocolate is so big there's a lot of area to cover in a yak. Look for drains along the edges and work reefs elsewhere.
