West Bay Wade - Sat 1/13

I’m rather new to the West Bay fishing. NE winds expected to be 12-15 mph on Sat morning . Im looking to get out there to do a little wading. The cold weather doesn’t bother me, but curious about the winds. What would you West Bay experts say?

Do you have access to a boat or just wading from the shoreline? This may influence people responses based on what areas maybe easiest for your to access.

No access to a boat. Plan on wading from shoreline.

Maybe hit Virginia Point, that's about the only shoreline I know protected for north wind, granted its a bit of a drive for an islander. Can one still get in over there? Been a long time since i've tried walk in access there. Honestly it's going to be better duck hunting weather, but either way you'll be out on the water.

That road to Virginia Point is for residents back there and I don’t think one can access the shoreline .
