I fished mainly the flats around SLP this past weekend. Was able to go down early on Thursday with my youngest son for some father & son fishing time. He will be 5yo this month and loves to fish. It wasn't a fast paced and furious catching weekend for me, but we definitely did catch some fish each day. I did end up with a nice trout just under 26" one morning on live pinfish, which I released. Finally got my kayak rigged up with a mount to hold my phone for selfies, so I can catch and release the big specks. And was the first time I have tried to fish with live pinfish from my pinfish traps... the redfish and trout seem to love them. My son had a blast too! He caught some redfish, black drum and few specks. He also helped his old man check the crab traps. No worries, the crab he is holding in the photo had been on ice and was already dead
