Been there , done that .
I arrived at the Texas City Dike launch one early morning to be greeted by the sight of a boat in the trailer hooked to the truck with the boat/ trailer teetering over the water 3/4 of the way at the boat tie up to the right of the ramps . At dark thirty the guys mistook the the area for a ramp and tried to launch . 3 guys were in the water trying to lift the boat/ trailer . It would be impossible to muscle it horizontal. My heart went out to them . After fishing and upon my return , they were gone . Don’t know how they got it . Trying to launch the boat like that may have uncoupled the hitch as the boat slide off . I don’t know .

Yes it is Sandy. Obviously still having problems at the boat ramp as evidenced by the initial post.
