  • Wading Saturday morning at far west end.

We will be spending Easter weekend at our home in Pointe West. Looks like Saturday morning we'll have time to do a little wade fishing. The winds should be turned back around or non-existent by then. Would you guys suggest wading in the bay (off Baywater Dr) or in the surf Saturday morning? Thanks in advance.

I would say try both. Swell forecast for Saturday is pretty small. If it's not them hit the bay. Or try the surf for a while then hit the grassy side.

I've only "dabbled" in surf fishing...mostly in the summer months when the wind is flat. I checked the surf temps and it looks like the water is right at 70 degrees. I've heard guys say that 70-72 degrees is when the surf starts to turn on. Can't really confirm that based on experience.

That stated...give it a go and let us know how you do. I'll be on the bay side Saturday morning!
