  • Fish Kill?

Did we dodge a bullet on this arctic front? I've seen posts from guides who running West Bay and seeing no dead fish.

Was in Jamaica Beach today checking on pipes and the canals looked good.

    Any reports?

I saw a couple of fish in bayou vista. But didn’t see any on the entire end up to the causeway. Looked fine.

I’ve heard about some fish floating in the canals at Tiki Island. I have not seen any as of now.

Had quite a few in the diversionary. I think it could have been way worse though.

It appears we got very lucky. Our neighbors down south didn’t fare as well.

Went to Port Mansfield last weekend. Lots of dead fish. Mostly black drum and mullet. Many trout and reds dead and some turtles. The land cut was a grave yard. We were able to catch a lot of reds. Didn't catch any trout. Not sure if that was due to our fishing ability or the freeze.
