Advise wanted

Finally going to get a chance to get on the water for Good Friday. Looks like the wind will be kicking 20+. Go figure. I am wanting to take my son (age 7) and my nephew (age 9) out with me. We will be in 16ft jon boat so protected water is a must. Would like to fish Chocolate Bayou or Dickinson Bayou. Looking to fish popping corks with some live bait. I probably will not fish much and just help them. They will not be picky as long as somethings pulling on the other end of the line. Would like to catch some crabs as well. Is the water warm enough for this? Any advise would be appreciated? I will post a report regardless of outcome.

Dickinson bayou should be protected from the wind.a pretty good variaty of fish there.good catching to yall.chocolate is a good choice too.reds like to play up there
