Havent posted in probably a year, so thought i would share a good trip for me.
Walked in around 4pm. SE 15-25, good clarity, and some bait flipping not as much as yesterday. Had about a 20 min shuffle to get set up on a spot w sand grass and a little shell in front of a big cove.
Hammertime assassin on a 1/16th screw lock head in about thigh deep to waste deep . About 5:15 hooked up with a 25.5 in red aka dinner!
Had a couple bumps then about 5:40 had what I thought was a red pick up the bait on the fall. When I finally saw the fish on about the fourth circle around me I was like chit it's a trout! On my rod she stretched out to somewhere very close to the 28 in mark...about 6.5 on the boga. I almost stayed home today and ended up w one of the best trout I've ever caught!
