wait until the surf turns on. that will get you back into it. Keep at it, I know it can be very very frustrating at times, especially when the weather is beautiful and you think you are going to kill them. We've all been there. Good luck and at least you got out on the water!

summary of my last ~5 trips to west bay:

get up at the asscrack of dawn, load up all the gear, go buy some donuts, paddle all day, try to hold in coffee shits, no bite, load everything back up, come home and unload, clean everything off. all i got to show for my days effort is a sunburn and an aching back...
