LOL! Remember to stretch it! If you walk around for 5 days flat footed to "rest" it, when you actually walk on it for real, you may have some serious cramps!
Is there a knot forming in your arch?I got knots in both arches and sometimes they hurt and sometimes not.I wear steel toes and on my feet constantly at work.
It's just in my right foot. I think I just strained something.
Sounds like tendonitis. I've just recently gotten over a bout with it in my right foot.
Put a pint bottle of water in the freezer and after it's frozen, roll it under your arch. Rscot02 has a simlar suggestion. This and ibuprofen will reduce the inflamation.
I had to get heel lift inserts, in my daily shoes, to transfer some of my weight further forward, while the tendon healed. You may not have to do that, but good support is helpful.
I also had to use kinesio tex tape on the sole of the foot to distribute the load off the tendon. This I'd recommend, it helped quite a bit, till the pain subsided.
The bad news is that it took a good two month's to recover fully, but then I'm in my 50's. You should heal much faster.

Those inserts from Academy work well in my work boots, but I'm not sure how they would hold up in the marsh. Probably smell like chit pretty quick. Maybe a pair of neoprene socks?
The inserts will probably help. I have to deal with plantar faciaitis(sp?) in my left foot. Started using the inserts in all of my shoes, they make a difference!
Whatever it is,good or bad, God knows! Jeremiah 29:11
Get some pain meds from lurefisher and forget about it. LOL It will go away or fall off. Just wait til You get old Coe, everything hurts.
Try some different boots and see if it helps. Might be the new ones. Does it hurt all of the time or just when wading?

Could be the West Bay Robalo Foot Fever. When my head spun I new I had it. No remedy per UTMB, Told me to fish on and hunt! Good luck boss!
Coe: It may be "Robaloitis"-the cause is from liberal dummycrats and knowing folks like Obama are in power-will go away in November of 2012-but sounds like a tendon issue-try what RScott said-roll the bottom of your affected foot over a beverage can (cold and beer of course) for a few minutes, then open can, pour in cold mug and drink it-repeat this process at least 8 times in one hour and the pain will subside.
But it could be a rapidly spreading little known disease-it starts as "toeleosis", then it moves up from your foot to your knee and becomes "Kneesles", then moves up to your groin area and becomes "smallcox", which can and will drastically affect your girlfriends' pleasure-but then again, if it's good for you, what else matters!!!
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.
