AR are perfectly legal in Austin. Whoever says they aren't is full of Robalo.

Optics ready just means the rifle doesn't have any iron sights.
Yes, you can easily purchase detachable iron sights. There are many different styles of irons.

I think XtremeAngler confused toy AK-47s (issued by campus PoPo for "partays") in College Suction to Austin. Easy mistake for an aggie to make.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. I understand why you're angry Robalo. Trust me, I know what it's like to root for a team fighting for bowl eligibility.....

Regrettably, I understand this year!! Time to look at Greg Reid and see if he needs to find another team to be an assistant coach. Turkey day will be interesting. I just hope it doesn't ruin my appetite.

                - Flat top for optics
                - type of optics - We got a entry level scope called "Super Sniper" sold out of Dallas
16" is good for tacticle, close qters., and some plinking

20" is good for varmit shooting, serious plinking, and is geared to more of a hunter

We have a RRA 20" predator ..... it's got the goodies on it, and is a serious go getter.

I like to shoot hogs, and yotes ....and would like to one day take it praire dog-ing

There is a local maker that gets over looked alot
                High Standard
You have to buy it from a FFA upon request .... call Republic Arms

High Standard has some pricing on it's web-site

Watch the 2cool classifieds ,they come up on there every month or so

Ammo is not an issue for the .223 anymore
If I may add another thing to look at. Twist rate. Do you want to be shooting 55gr bullets or less go 1-12/1-14. 60-69gr bullets get a 1-9. 70 gr bullets and up 1-7. JMO.
