  • Dems plot absentee ballot shenanigans and got caught!!

Yeppir, them Democrats jump up and down and say there is no voter fraud-BULLCHIP!! They be the ones doing it and got caught!! We don't need IDs to vote-yeah sure we don't-the Dems would allow folks to vote as many times as they could if they had a choice and to hell with the Constitution!!!

From MSN/nbc (the dems favorite of course-I'm surprised it even made the news by our Gestalt Propaganda):

Congressman's ex-chief of staff pleads guilty in online absentee ballot scheme

    By Gil Aegerter
    Staff Writer, NBC News

A former chief of staff to a Florida congressman has pleaded guilty in a scheme to illegally request absentee ballots online, an incident that computer experts said was the first documented cyberattack on a U.S. election. (The jerk resigned when he was caught!)

Jeffrey Garcia, who had worked for Rep. Joe Garcia, D-Fla., pleaded guilty Monday in a Miami-Dade County court to one felony and three misdemeanor charges. In a plea deal, he will serve 90 days in jail and 18 months on probation. The two men are not related.

Jeffrey Garcia was accused of directing an attempt to request nearly 2,000 absentee ballots through the Miami-Dad elections website for the Aug. 14, 2012, primary election. County contractors and staffers spotted the flurry of requests and thwarted the attempt. The requests were noted in a grand jury investigation, but the state attorney’s office closed the case in January without being able to identify a suspect.

That changed when The Miami Herald reported on the case in February. Jeff Garcia resigned on May 31, and the congressman’s communications director, Giancarlo Sopo, resigned at the end of June. Investigators raided homes of a cousin of Sopo and of a former campaign manager for the congressman, John Estes. It was unclear whether other charges would be filed in the case.

In entering his guilty plea, Garcia told the judge that he intended for the ballots to be delivered to the registered voters. The congressman's campaign would then target those voters in an attempt to gain their votes.

Jeffrey Garcia, the former chief of staff to Congressman Joe Garcia, appears in court Monday to plead guilty.

“My intent and actions were calculated merely to increase voter participation,” Jeffrey Garcia told the judge. (thank goodness the Judge did not believe the lying, dirty felonious scumbag)

In the end, the number of votes involved would not have swayed the election. The congressman easily won his primary and was re-elected last November.

Rep. Garcia has said that he was unaware of the scheme. (Sure he wasn't!!!)

In a statement issued Monday, Rep. Garcia said that “while these actions were wrong … no ballots were touched or manipulated in anyway and no voter had their votes interfered with or impeded in any way.” (but if I had my way and these guys weren't caught, it woulda been great and we could use that scheme all over the USA).

SCUMBAG DEMOCRATS!! ANOTHER FINE EXAMPLE OF WHY VOTER ID IS NEEDED.

Depends on which side you're on. Republicans see the democrats as corrupt and the democrats see the republicans as corrupt.

Politicians have always been corrupt since the constitution was signed. Picking the best of the worse has always been done by voters. My scheme in general elections is punch the straight ticket. If anyone of you have ever worked the polls especially in the primaries the scariest is not so much voter fraud or manipulating the vote its the voters who do not have a clue with who, what and why they are voting. Irate voters have wanted to fight because they could not vote for their favorite republican in a race but were coming in to vote in the democratic primary and voting for their favorite dems also. Convincing someone that they could vote however for whomever in the general election was a task. The election clerks have a monumental job in just cleaning out dead voters from the polls, voters who have moved or changed precincts, insufficient info on registration cards. An ID is the least of their problems and just causes for disenfranchised elegible voters.

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME OF THESE DISENFRANCHISED ABSENTEE VOTERS THAT THIS GUY WAS GONNA APPARENTLY "BE".

Maybe he be "voted" best butt in prison-maybe we should send in some absentee ballots to his new home.

Me too! Nothing happened with the 2000 absentee ballots but it did put some hurt on him. I'm still more concerned with dead voters especially in Texas. The dems have supposedly voter fraud but the republicans prefer Gerrymandering for their elections. Either are wrong. I prefer a india permanent ink thumb like they use in Iraq. Low cost and low tech and can be checked a week later if in doubt.

The democrats in Texas had been gerrymandering for a hundred years before Texas became a red state, so don't give us that BS.

Do some research and see how many democrat politicians have been convicted and gone to jail in the last 40-50 years. Of course democrat politicians like Jon Corzine, ex CEO of Goldman Sachs, who stole/misplaced 1.2 billion dollars of investors money never has.

Like I said, both parties are wrong. They are politicians. Even Washington was elected by only white men and each voter had 2 votes. the top 1 became prez and the next highest was the vice and if I remember right were done by chosen electors. Bankers are rotten also. All of the bigger bank CEO's causing the 2008 financial crisis should be in jail and salary limits imposed for 25 years. And yes you are right, there are dems and repubs in those top positions.

I've done some research on voter fraud in Texas. There has been 1 conviction since 2000 for ID Fraud in Texas !!! Currently there are 1.4 Million eligible voters with out an approved ID!! Only 50 Texans have been able to get the DPS issued Voter ID Card !!! Women are the #1 voter ID issue concern because of maiden names on Voter Cards not matching Texas Driver Licences!! Women are once again being discriminated with by the right who wanted voter ID for Texans. Eric Holder and the DOJ are correct in going after Rick Perry and the Texas Legislature in spite of the Supreme Court Voters Right Decision. We have huge problems with Voter Registration in Texas surrounding the dead, women and minorities. Now I fully understand the right ranting and raving about ID's when voting.

The DPS issued voter ID card is only one of 7 forms of acceptable ID (this is from the Texas Secretary of State's website):

"The voter must present one of the seven (7) acceptable forms of identification:
                            • Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
                            • Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
                            • Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
                            • Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS
                            • United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph
                            • United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph
                            • United States passport"

When I've validated voters against the registered roster (while serving as an election judge), the vast majority either use their driver's license or state issued personal ID. The election ID seems a bit of a waste, since a personal ID serves more purposes than an election ID.

Voter Registration issues do indeed affect the dead, women and minorities more often, but not because of discrimination. The majority of issues I've dealt with are change of address (statistically minorities move more often) and women's maiden names or change as a result of divorce. If the ID has a picture and the address matches that on the roster, I'm obligated to allow the voter to vote if the last name has changed. I'm also required to have the voter fill out the form that edits her registration to the new name.

I've not dealt with removing dead names (that's through the clerk's office). But typically, unless a relative notifies the county clerk or the judge at the poll, the name will stay on through a couple election cycles (up to 6 years), before it is removed due to inactivity.

Texas has a ton of work to do for sure. I wonder with a valid ID if the name, address, or lack of being on the voters list but with an ID will now keep you from voting or having to use a provisional ballot ? The ID is the big denominator now when voting. I question your statement on an ID serving more purpose than an election ID card. The ID proves that you are registered and what district and precinct you reside. Use too if you were on the registration list than a check, utility bill, student card, etc was taken as proof that you are the person on the list and were allowed to vote. Early voting and Nov5th will be interesting and I understand that the DOJ is watching closely.
