I just got my new trolling motor. I need to hook my batteries in series to go 24V. Please tell me if this sounds correct. I need a connecting cable from pos to neg on one end and then the troling motor to the other pos and neg of the opposite end of batteries. Does this sound right?

Re: Hooking up Batts to 24V
Hook positive motor wire to positive terminal on one battery , then negative motor wire to negative terminal on second battery , then use a jumper wire to connect the other two post
